Mature Readers Only
Written by John Narcomey

I need to get this off my chest. There are no parenting labels on my books and i will do what i can to keep them off of my books. What i mean by parenting labels is that ever present "suggested for mature readers" stamp on just about every comic, graphic novel on the market that remotely deals with anything that maybe present in a lets say a book, so until Stephen King gets a parenting label slapped on his next best seller i will do what i can to keep them off of my books.

Don't get me wrong i am not foregoing all my editorial responsibilities, kids should not read all of our books and at shows and conventions i let parents know what books are cool for their kids, what books are cool for their teen, what books are for everybody and what books are for the mature reader. Even from a retailer stand point the few i deal with i let them know what the books are about and there intended audience so they can better sell the High Tower Comics that they order. As for our on-line store we present a preview along with the cover and plot synopsis so that people can make a decision on what they feel is appropriate, some would say i give people far to much credit but i believe in the intelligence and maturity of our audience.

For the newcomers, here is a list of books and there intended audience...

Ghostface: For mature readers, deals with violence and mature themes of betrayal, redemption, vengeance, sex and relationships.

Smart Bullets: For mature readers basically the mini-series is a throw back to the 80's r-rated action movies with the cussing, violence and nudity just not as cheesy (i hope)

Spooksville: This title is for everyone completely cartoony with potty humor and sight gags galore.

Space Boogie: For mature audiences, i like to call Space Boogie a grind house, retro, sci-fi, extravaganza.

Jungle Jive: for the teens and older. If you like Ren and Stimpy mixed with a little (and i mean a little) highbrow humor this is the book for you.

So New Comer there you have it, i hope this list answers any and all questions on the intended audience for our books.
