So here comes another one of my lists. I watch a lot of Television when I’m not reading or writing and I mainly stick to these titles. Some have ended or have been gone for quite awhile now but I still feel they deserve the respect of a shout out.
Avatar the Last Air Bender: This show is by far one of the greats of our time. The whole premise is a genocidal war. It ended just recently and I have to say I’m looking forward to the movies they are rumored to be making.
Lost: What more do I have to say? Its the best Drama that the boob tube has had to offer since well…ever.
Terminator the Sarah Conner Chronicles: I am so excited about the new movies coming out and this show just gets me more hyped every time I watch it.
Heroes: The second season was rough but their making great strides with this new season. Still I have to say the first season was still the best but were only on three so who knows?
The Venture Brothers: I don’t think I will ever get sick of watching this program. I mean It’s perfect in every way. I don’t think I have ever been so anxious to see a new episode of an animated show in my life that wasn’t an Anime.
The Sopranos: God I love Tony Soprano
My Life as a Teenage Robot: It was cancelled years ago but you can catch the reruns on Nick-Toons at around 5 A.M.
Dead Like Me: That show was touching and funny. I miss it and still have not seen the movie.
Carnivale: Anything with Clancy Brown is cool in my book.
Sponge Bob Square Pants: Yeah yeah I still love that cartoon. Once again Clancy Brown equals cool in my book.
Robotech: I wasn’t gonna put an Anime series in this list but it is still one of my favorite shows of all time. And I really want to be in the live action movie coming out!
The Misadventures of Flap-Jack:One of the funniest kids shows I have ever seen. It’s so weird and off the wall. I can’t get enough of it.
Chowder: Another one of Cartoon Networks masterpieces. The sound track to that cartoon is awesome! The music reminds me of the Go Team. It would be cool to find out that they actually do the sound track.
Assy Mcgee: People say that it’s stupid cause the main character is a cop who is a talking ass. But that’s not what makes this show so great. The episodes are completely ridicules but in a good way.
Kung Fu: I know how old it is but it deserves to be mentioned.
And just about anything on the Science or History channel.
I have many more but those have been the most recent. One of these days I’ll get around to an Anime list but I really have to think that one out. Well see you all later.
Planet Comic Book Radio Podcast
High Tower Comics creator and grapic novelist John C. Narcomey, Jr., along with writer Justin Fox and editor/webmaster Daryl Auclair, will be on Planet Comic Book Radio this Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 5PM PST.

Okay seriously the Speed Racer franchise needs to be stopped! The movie was great and I would love to see another, but every medium beyond that needs to be buried or burnt and their creators flogged. The series “Speed Racer The Next Generation” is by far the worst cartoon I have ever seen in my life! The art and animation looks as if a three year old with no hands designed it, and if that wasn’t bad enough the story lines are completely unoriginal and stale and that’s me being kind by the way. I was watching “My Life As A Teenage Robot” which I have to say that that show is far better and far to underrated. It should have had more episodes. But any ways during my laugh fest a commercial for S.R.T.N.G. had come on and in the new episode Speed Jr. That’s right SPEED Junior.!!! gets a new car which looks and sounds like Kit from Knight Rider and I thought to myself, “REALLY?! You couldn’t come up with a better idea than that?”. I swear some writers seriously are out of touch with the youth of today, Hell even displaced from their own generation. Before that I had seen another commercial with the creators themselves talking about how cool the Mach six or seven (or what ever number their on now) was so cool cause it was “Eco friendly” and that the virtual reality race tracks the kids in the series race on are “ So Awesome” cause no one can get hurt. Who actually thinks that these are good ideas? And it doesn’t even end there. The comic series that recently came out is just as bad. The Speed family are mystically chosen through out time to be the fastest people on the planet. They don’t even get there super speed powers from the speed force sorry had to say it, but seriously stop dragging the good name of Speed Racer through the mud. Sit down, do your job and create something original for once. We didn’t need another cartoon incarnation of Speed Racer we were fine with the original and its on DVD so we can get our fix anytime we like. You want to do a race type cartoon or comic that hasn’t been ruined or even tapped into yet? MAD MAX! That’s what I want to see! No I take that back, I want to write it! Well I guess I’ve said my peace. So till my next rant see you all in the funny pages. Oh yeah, everyone should write Nickelodeon and tell them to create new episodes of “My Life As A Teenage Robot” God I love that show.
